SBA Video is currently not available via the Amazon Advertising API. Therefore, the campaigns need to be set up via the Amazon UI. In order to create the campaign you need to go to your Amazon Advertising Account
IMPORTANT: Since this format is not available via the Amazon Advertising API the algorithm is neither taking over the budget handling nor the the optimization of the campaign. Currently, this has to be done manually by yourself. Therefore, we do recommend to set up a separate portfolio with an own budget for this campaign format.
Note: SBA video is only available vor DE, UK and US.
The following 6 steps are required to set up a SBA video campaign:
Step 1: Go to campaigns, click "create campaign" and select "Sponsored Brands".
Step 2: Enter campaign name, start date and if wanted end date, and the daily budget in the budget settings.
Campaign names should start with “m_” in order to be optimised by metoda. Also choose the portfolio.
IMPORTANT: Since this format is not yet available via the API you have to set up a separate portfolio with an own budget for SBA video campaigns.
Step 3: Select format (Video) and ASIN
Select advertised ASIN (only one advertised ASIN possible)
Step 4: Provide your ad creative (video) and upload the fileChoose a video with 1920x1080px, 1280x720px, or 3840x2160px resolution, and a file size smaller than 500MB.
File format must be .mp4 or .mov. Video must be at least six seconds and a maximum 45 seconds.
Step 5: Select your targeting
Note: Only Keyword targeting possible.
Step 6: Submit for review
Note: As mentioned above currently, this campaign format is not supported by the Amazon Advertising API. Therefore, the campaigns won't be visible in the metoda Campaign Manager as well as the Campaign Insights Report. Set up, budget handling and optimization need to be done manually via Amazon Advertising.
